Sebastian Lazowski is the author of the book Algebraic Topology with Applications in Modern Analysis, which was published by Cambridge University Press in 2007. This book is about modern algebraic topology and applications in modern analysis. Topology has been around for centuries, but it wasn't until the development of applied mathematics that topologists were able to gain widespread recognition for their work. This book discusses some of these developments with detailed analysis of pertinent issues including Lie theory, K-theory, complex manifolds and Morse theory. Lazowski also wrote the book Algebraic Geometry with Applications in Modern Analysis. This textbook was published in 2001 by Cambridge University Press. Sebastian Lazowski is the winner of the 2001 Erwin Schrödinger Prize in Mathematics (International Society for History and Philosophy of Science). He also received the 1996 Giesbrecht Lectureship Award of the Canadian Mathematical Society, Canada's premier mathematical society.
